ManTech SME Strategic Planner in Washington, District Of Columbia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented SME Strategic Planner to join our team in the Washington, D.C. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • The Strategic Planner facilitates strategic planning working group sessions to develop and/or update OA vision, goals, objectives, strategies, critical success factors, continuity of operations plans, and succession plans.

  • Develop communications plans for the Directorate to engage and update internal CBP stakeholders and DHS-level and other external stakeholders on the status of the implementation, deployment, execution and monitoring of strategic planning and other Directorate initiatives.

  • Support all aspects of planning, development, revision, coordination, management and implementation of Directorate management processes, initiatives, tools and procedures.

  • Support development of the organizational strategic plan and work with the OA Divisions to complete the narrative associated with the vision, mission, strategic goals, objectives, and core values.

  • Update, edit and follow-up with the OA and other senior leaders as needed to complete the strategic plan for the current organization, or the next evolution of the organization.

  • Develop and track lessons learned, and incorporate them in future activities.

  • Supports business process re-engineering to include data analysis, data administration, data standardization, and records management across all phases of the federal contracting lifecycle (acquisition planning, pre-award, award, post-award, and contract close-out).

  • Prepare minutes for working groups, action item lists, and draft versions of executive-level correspondence, as required.

  • Maintain OA strategic planning records via network shared drives and SharePoint.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing action plans, strategies, and performance measures for achieving strategic goals in federal agencies.

  • 5 years of position-specific relevant experience.

  • BA/BS

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in strategic planning at a DHS agency, including development and implementation of a strategic planning process and working collaboratively with senior leaders on innovation initiatives.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
