ManTech Senior Systems Engineer - Configuration Management in Washington, District Of Columbia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission-oriented Senior Systems Engineer - Configuration Management in the Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington DC area to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, deploy and maintain Systems Management applications to provide client and server baselines, patch management, software distribution, operating system deployment, hardware and software inventory. Microsoft and other professional certifications are preferred. DoD 8140 compliance required.

  • Configure and maintain Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)

  • Configure and maintain the environment for High-Availability and Data Recovery

  • Assist with development of disaster recovery plans.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field of study. Degree can be substituted for 4 or more years of relevant experience.

  • 7 or more years of relevant work experience in Systems Engineering or Systems Administration.

  • Three or more years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope and complexity.

  • Possess exceptional customer service and communication skills (both written and verbal).

  • VMWare management/ administration experience.

  • Microsoft Hyper-V cluster management/administrative experience.

  • Windows 10 OS build, manage, deploy via SCCM

  • DoD 8140 compliance required, IAT Level II Certification.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • Must possess an active Top Secret ( TS ) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information ( SCI ) Eligibility.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/walking/talking and must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • ​Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.

  • Constantly positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Must be able to detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, & Assess.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • Working with computers.
