ManTech Cyber Security Engineer in Washington, District Of Columbia

The Cyber Security Engineer will analyze threat actor tools, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) and assist in developing solutions for detecting, countering, and exploiting cyber threats. Candidate will be responsible for analyzing multi-source threat information to detect, respond to, and defeat advanced persistent threats (APTs) or real-time threats. Candidate will conduct network forensics and malware analysis to identify computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators. Candidate will conduct advanced threat hunt operations using known adversary TTPs as well as indicators of attack in order to detect adversaries with persistent access to the enterprise. Candidate will identify, counter, and exploit adversary use of social media.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or similar field) and 5 years of relevant information security experience

• Expert level experience in malware analysis

• Experience with disassemblers

• Solid understanding of cyber threats and information security in the domains of TTP s, threat actors, campaigns, and observables

• Experience with intrusion detection systems, intrusion analysis, threat hunting, and network penetration testing

• Scripting and task automation skills

• Experience creating and configuring virtual environments

• At least a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification


Requires Bachelor s degree (in Engineering, Computer Science or related field) or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related experience.
