ManTech Senior Information Systems Security Engineering in United States

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior ISSE to join our team in Norfolk, VA. The position is Remote.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform system or network designs that encompass multiple Cloud hosting environments, to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements

  • Support the Navy’s ATO accreditation as a subject matter expert with analyzing security scans, organizational policies, and perform continuous monitoring

  • Provide security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management

  • Recommend cybersecurity-enabled products to implement security measures that provide confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication and non-repudiation.

  • Support the Government in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures

  • Design and implement security related products on an enterprise level, then integrate products into current environment

  • Participate in the change management process, including reviewing Change Requests and assisting in the assessment of security impact of proposed changes

  • Monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features and functions are properly restored and functioning correctly following an outage

  • Work on project teams responsible for engineering and packaging releases to integrate within the customer's production IT environment

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in IT, Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering, or similar field of study) and have 4+ years’ experience with information networks and related security concerns; or a Master's degree with 2+ years’ experience

  • DoD 8570.1 / DoD 8140.01 (IAT II Level) certification

  • Must hold an ACAS certification

  • Background experience designing and implementing enterprise scale solutions.

  • Experience using various IA tools in audit collection, audit review, audit management, and end point protection (ACAS, HBSS, McAfee ePO, ENS, DLP)

  • Experience with RMF, ICD 503, NIST SP800-53 or DCID 6/3, or knowledge of current authorization practices, particularly within the DoD is desired.

  • Experience with AWS Government Cloud and AWS Service offerings

  • Experience with security efforts related to modern Windows, Linux, UNIX, Cisco, SQL or Oracle databases, and virtualized systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Splunk Enterprise operations is preferred and Splunk certifications are highly desired

  • CISSP Level 3 certification.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • US Citizenship and active Secret clearance is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $84,000-$140,100. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
