ManTech Data Governance Project Coordinator in United States

Currently, we are seeking a motivated, career and team-oriented Data Governance Project Coordinator in support of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Continuous Diagnostic & Mitigation (CDM) Data Services Program. The CDM Data Services Program is a critical component of CISA’s national effort to ensure the defense and resilience of cyberspace. This is a remote position where the candidate can work from any location within the United States provided they are able to work on an eastern time zone schedule.

The CDM Data Services Program mission is to provide a standardized platform to collect, transform, and integrate cybersecurity data from relevant authoritative data sources into a coherent data, delivering actionable information into Agency and Federal Dashboards to identify risk areas in support of mitigation as well as to facilitate coordinated agency and national response to cyber-threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures specific to the CDM program.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data governance requirements, ensuring alignment with CISA's objectives and industry best practices.

  • Facilitate data stewardship activities, including data ownership assignments, data classification, and metadata management.

  • Conduct data quality assessments to identify and mitigate issues, ensuring that data adheres to defined quality standards and is fit for CDM program needs.

  • Develop and maintain data governance tools, such as data dictionaries, data lineage, and data cataloging, to support the effective management of CDM program data.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to recommend and implement data governance and data quality improvement initiatives.

  • Perform data profiling and analysis to identify data anomalies, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.

  • Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on data governance best practices, data quality standards, and data management processes.

  • Assist in the development and delivery of data governance training and awareness programs.

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in data governance and data quality management to continuously enhance the CDM program.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • A minimum of nine (9) years of experience in data governance and data quality roles

  • Expert knowledge of data governance frameworks, principles, and best practices.

  • Strong understanding of data quality assessment methodologies and data profiling techniques.

  • Familiarity with data management tools and technologies, such as data cataloging, metadata management, and data quality tools.

  • Solid understanding of government data governance policies and regulations, particularly related to cybersecurity and information security.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various levels.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Data analytics experience in Cloud environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications in data governance and data quality management (or cyber security, such as Security+) are a plus.

  • JIRA experience

  • Confluence experience

  • Data Lakes such as Azure Data Factory experience

  • MS SQL experience

  • Elastic Dashboard experience

  • Microsoft Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, PowerBI) experience

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen

  • Able to obtain and maintain a DHS Suitability/Entry on Duty (EOD)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

The projected compensation range for this position is $100,800-$168,700. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
