ManTech CVN Maintenance Coordinator in San Diego, California

Currently ManTech is seeking an experienced CVN Nuclear Systems Coordinator for our San Diego facility.

Job Summary:

This CVN Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining the material condition and war-fighting readiness of an aircraft carrier. This support will include determining maintenance availabilities, assisting in scheduling of maintenance, identifying repair facilities, and maintaining a budget. This person will need to interface with Type Commander, shipyard facilities, various program managers, and ship's force.

Minimum Requirements

  • A minimum of eight (8) years Naval CVN or Naval Nuclear Maintenance experience inclusive of Naval Submarine Nuclear standards

  • Evaluating maintenance provider estimates during project planning phase prior to start of availabilities

  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint; able to develop and maintain spreadsheets, analyze data received and provide recommendations both short term and long term in order to ensure material readiness

  • Able to discuss and brief senior naval officers and civilians (both within and outside of CNAL’s chain of command) with regard to system and equipment status and provide recommended course of action to repair

Preferred requirements:

  • Over 6 years experience with ship’s availability planning. Preferably, Regional Maintenance Automated Information System (RMAIS) in work package screening and ship’s availability planning

  • Fluency in the use of RMAIS, ability to review and validate, sort, screen and provide feedback to the respective ship and work centers on jobs submitted to ensure information contained is correct and all inclusive in order to broker work items to repair activities

  • Strong knowledge in hull, mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for aircraft carriers

  • Ability to analyze and evaluate the CSMP, making recommendations for the brokering of maintenance actions to the Maintenance Program Manager

Clearance Requirements

  • A US Secret Clearance is required, an Interim to Start is acceptable

  • U.S. Citizenship required

Physical Requirements

  • lift and carry 50 pounds

  • Extensive time in stationary position

  • Climb and descend stairs and galleways

  • Be able to move around the office and or ship

  • Operate standard office equipment

  • Be able to communicate professionally with ManTech employees and ManTech clients

  • Must be able to observe and report in a Naval command setting

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $73,500-$122,600. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
