ManTech DevSecOps Cyber Security Engineer in San Antonio, Texas

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented DevSecOps Cybersecurity Engineer (Cleared) to join our team in the San Antonio, TX location.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide operational flexibility and cybersecurity of the UP shared development and production environments at multiple security classification levels to include Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret.

  • Support DevSecOps security and configuration management activities for achieving and maintaining Certificate to Field (CtF) and continuous Authority to Operate (ATO) of UP information systems and applications.

  • Perform security related operations such as STIG’ing or SCAP scanning AWS-based DevSecOps platform components as required.

  • Ability to build, install, configure, STIG, test and deploy infrastructure and platform components as new requirements arise; the ability to do so up to Top Secret.

  • Administer access control and identity and access management policies and best practices to ensure the security and integrity of the platform and its components.

  • Provide technical support and assist in any accreditation-related tasks and activities.

  • Work with application owners, developers, vendors, and end users to diagnose, troubleshoot and remediate security issues as they arise.

  • Analyze platform architecture, emerging requirements, and other complexities that arise and recommend solutions for improving DevSecOps platform operations.

  • Conduct routine audits of platform components and software to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and other relevant guidelines.

  • Ensure systems/apps/components are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with internal security policies and practices outlined in the UP security plan.

  • Produce documentation on as needed on relevant systems operations and security procedures to inform changes to applications and/or the platform.

  • Document and propose improvements to business processes workflows.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 7 or more years of relevant experience.

  • Current cybersecurity certification at the DoDI 8140 IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+ or greater).

  • AWS certification.

  • Proficient understanding of maintenance (patching, STIG, and upgrade processes) on AWS cloud infrastructure.

  • Demonstrated experience with container, orchestration, container platform, and service mesh technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Istio.

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cyber and information security management and processes to include POAMS, RMF, ATO’s.

  • Demonstrated experience with answering controls in XACTA, EMASS and Gov Cloud Impact Level 2 and 4 controls as required for conducting ATO process and approvals.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI is required to start.
