ManTech Journey Engineer in Patuxent River, Maryland

Performs a variety of specific professional non-complex engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature. Participates on project teams as required and receives close guidance and instruction from more experienced engineers and/or supervisor when working in more complex areas. Engineering activities support both domestic and international products/services.

· Apply engineering background/knowledge to complete statistical analysis of aircraft maintenance data & failure incidence reports, diving into the root causes of failures.

· Evaluating failure modes and trends related to those modes on the aircraft in an effort to identify ways to reduce/eliminate those failures.

· Coordinate with/assist government engineers and government TPOC/PM on the development of CAPs (Corrective Action Plans)

· Assist government engineers on the developing the basis for Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) using data analysis

· Subject matter / data with vary regularly since this team addressing the whole aircraft. All electronic, mechanical, and structural systems.

· Experience with MATLAB, use of statistics very helpful

· Experience or exposure to Navy aircraft very helpful. Experience can be from direct military experience or as a govt./contractor engineer intern and/or employee.

Qualifications

Requires Bachelors Degree (in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Science or Information Technology) or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience.
