ManTech CCR Technician III-OCONUS in Kabul, Afghanistan
ManTech International Corporation is looking to hire experienced personnel to support our U.S. Government Agency customer in multiple locations CONUS or OCONUS. This position will require the chosen candidate to currently possess an active DOD – Top Secret Security SCI Clearance.
LOCATION : Varied CONUS and OCONUS locations.
The qualified candidate will look to work closely within a team environment. They must be able to demonstrate the ability to articulate well, be extremely tactful and reserved when in communication with all levels of leadership and will be assigned multiple complex projects that will directly impact their program by managing projects from start to finish.
MUST HAVE an active DOD – Top Secret Security Clearance for customer consideration.
MUST obtain a pre-deployment DoS Medical Clearance upon hire.
The CCR Technician will demonstrate and apply a broad knowledge of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Will apply complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures for the particular area of specialization. Will demonstrate knowledge of the organization's business practices and issues. The successful candidate will typically possess 5 - 8 years of successful experience in communications or a related field and successfully demonstrate key responsibilities and knowledge.
Provide operations and maintenance support to multiple tactical and land mobile radio systems . Subject Matter Expert on networking and other communications equipment providers (i.e. Harris, Exelis, Kenwood) equipment and will provide O&M support. Proficient in communications surveys, new installations and preventative maintenance for vehicle and fixed site systems, COMSEC management, frequency management, training, and depot level repair for radios. Develops and conducts training for U.S. Government personnel and private contractors regarding the proper use, care, maintenance and preventative maintenance of assigned systems.
Must have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance. Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals. Must be able to obtain Department of State Class 1 Medical Clearance.
Minimum of five years technical and related experience in the field of coordination and technical support for modern communication systems. A minimum of two years hands-on work experience with type I encrypted radios. Experience with COMSEC policies and procedures. Possess knowledge of radio frequency (RF) theory and principle, and the effects of systems operating in an electronic countermeasures environment. Excellent technical knowledge of RF Communications (VHF/UHF/SATCOM/Radio). Must be able to specify RF communication equipment compatible with CREW systems.
Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under minimal supervision. Must demonstrate the ability to interact with all levels of an organization in a professional, diplomatic, and tactful manner. Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a cohesive team. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast paced environment on multiple projects, and have strong attention to detail. Must possess excellent writing and verbal skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems and office automation software (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
This position is deployed up to 90% of the calendar year in high-threat areas, in multiple locations (not one specific area). Domestic travel may be required for training and program coordination. May be required to spend several months in the Washington D.C. metro area for training and CCR support duties prior to departure to assigned overseas work location. Must also be willing to serve in positions worldwide, which may include domestic assignments. Overseas locations may be located in high-risk environments.
Requires Bachelor s degree (in related field) or equivalent, and five to seven years of related experience.
