ManTech Human Resources Manager in Herndon, Virginia

ManTech seeks an experienced and motivated Human Resources Manager to join our team in Herndon, VA. This is a hybrid position.

The HR Manager will supervise a team of employees supporting the Human Resources (HR) service delivery in areas such as employee support, new hire onboarding, payroll administration, compliance, EEO/affirmative action programs and benefits administration.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes the HR Service Delivery Model using the multi-tiered approach.

  • Manages the HR Shared Service team that provide support to the employees through Workday, ServiceNow and the HR Help Desk Platforms.

  • Oversees the day-to-day team management, disseminates work assignments and ensures full-service HR Delivery of administrative transactional and Onboarding of new employees.

  • Assist and collaborates with HR Business and Strategic Advisors, Managers, and other functional teams such as payroll, benefits, finance, security and HRIS.

  • Leads and monitors the performance and productivity metrics across the HR Shared Service Team to address quality, consistency and delivery issues and concerns.

  • Identify and recommend improvements and changes to new and existing processes.

  • Implement standardized process and procedures through internal and external tools and resources to facilitate Self-Service and ensure end user satisfaction.

  • Serve as the key point of contact and first point of escalation for complex HR-related queries to the HR Service Center.

  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.

Basic Qualifications :

  • 7 years of experience in Human Resources with at least 2 years of experience leading people

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience in lieu of degree

  • Experience working in an HR Shared Services organization

  • Strong working knowledge with an HRIS system, preferably Workday

  • Understanding of service delivery process design

  • Proven ability to form strong customer relationships

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical skills

  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment

  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other similar software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar online ticketing tool

  • Experience with Workday as an HRIS

  • Experience leading and managing a hybrid workforce

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time

  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
