Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Release Train Engineer (RTE) Services Lead IV to join the team at Glen Burnie, MD.

The Release Train Engineer (RTE) Services Lead IV is a certified senior-level professional leading and facilitating Software Teams on Agile Release Trains (ART) throughout planning and delivery of software development services and environments.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Guide the implementation of Scaled Agile

  • Facilitate all aspects of quarterly program increment planning, facilitate the Scrum-of-Scrum Meetings, and act as a Scaled Agile Facilitator/Coach at the program level.

  • Provide guidance in Agile, Scrum, and Scaled Agile, and lead Agile Delivery Teams to deliver value consistently

  • Collaborate with the communities of practice, develop, and conduct Agile-oriented training, and identify and deploy key metrics to enable continuous improvement

  • Support Scrum ceremonies for the team where needed (e.g., planning, retrospective, grooming, and review/demonstration), and facilitate impediment resolution in a timely, cost-effective manner

  • Track and produce key metrics (e.g., burn-down or burn-up charts and cumulative flow diagrams)

  • Expert making sure that software development proceeds smoothly and in line with established Agile principles

  • Supervises and mentors subordinate project staff.

Experience/Education:

  • 12 years+ related experience required

  • Bachelors Degree required

  • A candidate holding a relevant Master’s degree may be granted 2 years’ experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years’ experience credit for that extra education.

Certifications:

  • 7 years of position-specific relevant experience. DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II Certification.

  • DESIRED CERTIFICATIONS : SAFe 6 Advanced Release Train Engineer (ARTE) and Certified Scrum Professional - ScrumMaster (CSP-SM) certifications.

Security Clearance:

  • TS/SCI Required

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing/walking/Talking and must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another.

  • Maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
