ManTech Principal Systems Administrator in Dayton, Ohio

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Principal Systems Administrator to join our team in Dayton, OH

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serves as the lead for a scaled down laboratory version of a Bulk Fuel Storage SCADA system.

  • Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems, programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), and industrial controls equipment in testing and development environment.

  • Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.

  • Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the testing and development environment.

  • Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

  • Serves as the AFHE cyber security advisor and must be knowledgeable in DoD Cyber Security rules, regulations, and practices.

  • Updates as required to Policy, Procedure, and Planning documents to support ATO to include but not limited to Baseline Development documentation, End of life for software and hardware equipment, SOPs, reference architecture, system test procedures and maintenance test procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Mathematics (BS not BA) is preferred. Additional 6 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • Ten (10) years of experience with complex software systems, to include: Systems Analysis, Systems Architecture, Systems/Equipment Support, Test and Evaluation, and Logistics support.

  • Ability to travel on short term assignments on short notice.

  • US passport for OCONUS travel if needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Wonderware/AVEVA Certification

  • SCADA programming and implementation

  • Software development ( VB.NET , Structured Text, SQL, C Sharp)

  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programming (Modicon, etc.)

  • Water/wastewater treatment plant industrial controls

  • Fire alarm control systems (FACP)

  • Petroleum/chemical plant/storage facility industrial controls

  • Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

  • SIS Safety Instrumented Systems

  • SIL Safety Integrity Level

Security Clearance Requirements: Active Secret or ability to obtain one.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

  • May be asked to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment.
