ManTech Change Management Specialist in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Change Management Specialist to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO .

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide support and facilitation to all change control boards. Possess familiarity with ITIL and SAFe concepts, practices, and procedures within the change management field. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Works in a team environment to establish and execute a change management program for multiple systems/programs in various stages of design, development or operations.

  • Monitor the incorporation of configuration change items in the change management system. Contribute to the documentation and lifecycle management of requests for change (RFC’s).

  • Maintain control of change databases and provide status accounting of engineering changes to IPTs and program management.

  • Compile reports of RFC activities throughout a project’s life cycle to verify compliance with established change management procedures and standards; and to verify that CIs and system performance and functionality are compliant with specifications

  • Produces reports on software releases related to delivered changes, results from functional testing, and various change management metrics.

  • Plans and/or facilitates internal/external change deployment planning.

  • Training personnel on change management procedures

  • Acts as a liaison between the development and operations teams to communicate changes and expected issues in production environments.

  • Developing CM team process and quality improvements

  • Works with management staff to produce change management strategies and plans for upcoming enhancements and / or roll-outs

  • Facilitates Change Board Meetings with stakeholders.

  • Creates meeting agendas and keeps track of meeting minutes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be detail oriented.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Change Management ITSM Tools like Rational Tool Suite.

  • Knowledge of configuration management practices.

  • Ability to verify that change documentation is compliant with applicable requirements.

  • The candidate must be able to work in a team environment and be proficient in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline with 3 or more years related professional experience. (Education can be substituted for 5 years of experience).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Microsoft SharePoint

  • Understanding of Service Transition Lifecycle Process

  • ITIL v3 Foundations Certification and Experience

  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification and Experience

  • Experience with IBM Engineering Workflow Management Tool (EWM)

  • Experience with BMC Remedy

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active DOD Secret clearance and ability to obtain agency suitability clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to type.

  • Be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentation.

  • This position supports an IT operations environment. All employees should expect to support work on nights and weekends and may be included in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

  • Must be able to traverse between one work location to another to accomplish work duties

  • Must be able to operate IT equipment such as a computer, copier, fax machine, etc.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers to exchange information accurately.

  • Must be able to read, review and effectively respond to electronic as well as verbal communications.

The projected compensation range for this position is $70,000-$85,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
