ManTech Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in Chantilly, Virginia

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to join our team in Chantilly, VA supporting a classified Azure Enterprise IT system.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform ISSM role and lead cyber assurance team of cyber analysts

  • Provide cyber assurance management support and ensure all systems maintain their ATO

  • Work closely with the Authorizing Official’s office to ensure security controls are being implemented adequately

  • Establish and maintain a Continuous Monitoring program that includes periodic testing to evaluate security posture of IS

  • Maintain all cyber security documentation/packages

  • Provide incident response for the office(s) and perform all other cyber assurance management tasks to promote an appropriate cyber security posture for the office(s)

  • Ensure all ISSOs receive the necessary technical and security training to carry out their duties

  • Maintain a repository of all organization or system-level Cyber Security-related documentation for IS under your purview

  • Ensure proper measures are taken when an IS incident or vulnerability is discovered

  • Maintain a working knowledge of system functions, security policies, technical security safeguards and operational security measures

  • Ensure a record is maintained of all security-related vulnerabilities and ensure serious or unresolved violations are reported to the AO/DAO

  • Assess changes to the system, its environment and operational needs that could affect the security authorization

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT or STEM; a degree might be substituted for an additional 4 years of relevant experience

  • 10+ years of relevant IT experience, seven (7) of those years in Cybersecurity IA experience

  • One of the following certifications: DoD 8140.03M certification for ISSM Advanced proficiency level (CISM, CISSO, FITSP-M, GCIA, GCSA, GCIH, GSLC, GICSP, CISSP-ISSMP, or CISSP)

  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills in a dynamic customer centric environment

  • Displays a customer-centric attitude with a high level of energy and sense of urgency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Risk Management Framework experience a plus

  • Microsoft Azure and VMware certifications a plus

  • Ability to validate Compliance as Code

  • Experience in DevSecOps environments

  • Experience in environments validating RMF and NIST 800-53 security controls

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret clearance adjudicated within the past 6 years

  • Willing to submit for a random CI Poly

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

  • Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
