ManTech Cyber Security Engineer, Expert in Chantilly, Virginia

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Senior Engineer with Project Management experience to join our team in Chantilly, VA to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech.

The Engineer is responsible for the performance of a significant enterprise level program or multiple smaller programs in accordance with contract requirements and company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

The program area typically consists of three or more functional areas. The engineer is responsible for acquiring follow-on business associated with assigned programs and for supporting new business development by leading or supporting proposal development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Experience managing projects supporting the Intelligence Community (IC) is desirable but not absolutely required.

  • Responsible for the team’s overall performance.

  • Supervise daily project schedule activities.

  • Manage specific cyber security projects and contribute to the completion of project deliverables.

  • Supervise the design and deployment of new functional capabilities and continuously develop solutions to improve system performance and availability.

  • Continuously optimize processes and procedures for system operations and maintenance.

  • Maintain the Authority to Operate (ATO) for all assigned assets.

  • Develop and recommend solutions for a variety of complex technical problems.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 + years experience.

  • Manage all ManTech support activities associated with the Defend and Respond Division (DRD). Functional areas include:

  • Enterprise Level Information Technology Auditing.

  • Implementation, Operation and Maintenance of an Enterprise Level Security Incident and Event Manager (SIEM).

  • Project Management for the complete life cycle of Cyber Security Systems projects from requirements collection, design, testing, implementation, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning.

  • Experience should be in a related security technology or discipline such as Cybersecurity Operations, Cybersecurity Engineering, IT Security Audit, and Information Assurance.

  • IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) certification.

  • Experience with both Project Management and Project Support activities.

  • General knowledge of Enterprise Level Cyber Security Systems and Services.

  • Experience with cybersecurity architectural principles such as defense in depth, resilience, and integrated security operations.

  • Ability to convert functional IT Cyber Security Requirements into system requirements.

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously to ensure project milestones are achieved.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with senior ManTech and Government Mangers.

  • Ability to make decisions and resolve problems effectively and efficiently. seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solutions or practices

  • Must be able to multi-task, work independently, and as part of a team. Must effectively delegate tasks and manage sudden shifts in project priorities.

Clearance Requirement:

Active Top Secret/SCI with CI Polygraph.
