ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Circuit Design and Documentation (CD&D) Technician to join our Engineering team for a program that supports a variety of customer IT requirements with a focus on providing productive and collaborative computer workspace (new or renovated) to support dynamic mission requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Plan, design, install, maintain, monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, modify, and support network communications systems to provide maximum performance and availability.

  • Plan, design, implement, and support local and wide area networks (LANs/WANs) in the areas of Internet connectivity, capacity planning, routing, switching, server load balancing, network security, and wireless.

  • Solve complex problems; take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions.

  • Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.

  • May lead teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.

  • Leading others to solve complex problems; uses analytical thinking, tools, and judgement to identify innovative solutions.

  • Ensuring accurate documentation of cabling infrastructure and enterprise networks.

  • Supporting installation teams by providing comprehensive run lists and cabling plans.

  • Creating circuit documentation in support of customer funded projects.

  • Building inventories and maintaining accurate information as it pertains to network components, circuits, routers, switches, racks, etc.

  • Lending expertise and institutional knowledge to improve the overall excellence of the team by developing the creation of Knowledge Articles, Work Instructions, SOPs, etc.

  • Creating briefings and providing weekly and/or monthly status reports.

  • Coordinating and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Identifying opportunities to automate processes and increase efficiency.

  • Meeting contractual performance criteria.

  • Flexibility to support 24x7 operations; may need to work extended hours during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests.

  • Local travel may be required between customers buildings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors across the customer base.

  • Ability to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to select components based on cost and space limitations.

  • Ability to work with schematic capture tools.

  • Ability to support activities to improve the overall excellence of the team by supporting the creation of Knowledge Articles, Work Instructions, SOPs, etc.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and succeed in a challenging environment.

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.

  • Knowledge of component and transmission medium compatibility and interconnection.

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint.)

  • Prior experience with cable testers and Auto-cad

  • BA/BS and seven 2+ years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 6+ years.

Hours of Coverage:

  • Individual shift may vary, but you core hours will need to be covered, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Support may be required outside of core hours based on customer & mission needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ITIL® v4 Foundation, or higher, certification.

  • Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITMB, ITAM, ITOM.

  • Expertise or certifications with a computer language, system, or technology.

  • Prior experience leading a team.

  • IAT Level III certification.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active and current TS/SCI with polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

  • Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices.

  • Must be able to position self to maintain computers, including under the desks and in the server closet.

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. 

  • Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. 

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information. 

  • Resolving technical problems and answering queries by telephone or self-service that involve computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems.

  • Must be willing to travel CONUS and OCONUS to client locations at least 10% of the time.
