ManTech Assistant Contractor Program Security Officer in Chantilly, Virginia

Currently, we are seeking for a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Assistant Contractor Program Security Officer to join our team in our Chantilly, VA location.

As an Assistant Contractor Program Security Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Program Management team with personnel security support for classified DoD IT contracts.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work in personnel security and be a part of the team to implement personnel security processes and tools for centrally managing the company’s DoD personnel security program

  • processing and maintaining individuals requiring Department of Defense (DOD) clearances

  • Processing personnel security background investigation information for completeness and accuracy before sending to the customer for determination of security clearances and other records to ensure they are accurate, complete, and in compliance with client’s guidelines

  • Review and submit security forms for processing

  • Complete and transmit visit requests

  • Support company prescreening activities

  • Initiate, process, review, track and monitor security clearance processing activities

  • Update and maintain the overall clearance/access database DISS, and ManTech’s personnel security database

  • Ensure files are maintained and compliant with customer requirements

  • Scan material and personnel records into digital form and organize them into a computer database

  • Other personnel security duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience with MS Office

  • Experience with functional data collection, data analysis, requirements analysis

  • Knowledge of relational databases run queries

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail required

  • Must be capable of working as a team member, be a self-starter, be able to understand and complete tasks, and have excellent customer service attitude and skills

  • Ability to handle stress and work well under pressure

  • Organizational Skills and Analytical and Critical Thinking Skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledgeable in all areas of Personnel Security to include extensive DISS and e-QIP processing

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Top-Secret clearance to start. Candidate must be open to CI poly

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50%

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office

  • The person in this position will need to be able to operate a computer and other office productivity devices
